A -3 cold Sun morning witnessed several juniors supported by the Newton Shield managers brave the course. The junior winter league waits for no man (or junior), 4 hours later they came off like blocks of ice to warm drinks in the clubhouse. Well done to : James McDonald Ewing Scott Ben Campbell (Junior Captain) Jack Burns Rhys McIlroy

A windy and wet Sat 2 weeks ago witnessed an array of talent attend Eastwood golf course for RGU assessments. Scott had nominated 4 boys with potential from the junior section, 2 over 15 and 2 under. The over 15s numbered 19 with handicaps as low as 2, with the under 15 hosting numerous talented young boys with single handicaps ! A tense week followed as the RGU picked the lucky few, and thankfully all our boys were successful !!  Well done all our boys detailed below and to Scott for the ongoing support and dedication.   Ben Campbell (junior captain) Lewis Greenless (junior vice captain) Rhys McIlroy Josh Campbell

  • 12th tee updates 12th tee updates

There has been an increase in the number of reports of golf balls leaving the course from the 12th tee. As a consequence red, yellow and white tee markers will be placed on the forward tee from Monday 31st August. All players must use this tee until further notice. If players are waiting to drive, those on the 12th green should mark their ball and allow the game behind to tee off. During Medal play, the white marker will be placed on the back/top tee. The hole will continue to be played as a par 4. If you suspect your drive has left the course when hitting form any tee, you must record the incident in the book behind the bar. Colin J.
