The young juniors without handicaps played for the first ever Stuart Murray trophy, a 4 hole competition witnesses young Sophie McGrorty take the prize, however the other youngsters are a fantastic prospect for the future.
Juniors major part of Final day
The finals day brought 3 juniors onto the course to fight for a win, Heather Mushet, Jack Burns and Josh Campbell were all playing in this special day. Heather was so close to winning the Ladies Championship, narrowly loosing on the 1st extra hole, what an effort and without a doubt Heathers name will be on the winners board soon. Josh and Jack were playing in the Campbells trophy final, and again what a game, all square down the 18th Josh won it with the final putt (an impressive par). Jack was gracious in defeat giving Josh nothing but encouragement all the way round. The day once again highlighted the positive and growing junior set up we have within the club.
